Simone Duvenage
Simone’s dance Journey started in South Africa at the age of 5 with Ballet. Her immense passion for dance drove her to study multiple dance genres over the years, specialising in Acrobatics, Jazz, and Lyrical Dance. She has successfully completed her studies in Jazz, Hip Hop and reached high levels with Contemporary and Acro. Simone also received multiple awards and nominations to represent her country on the international stage, resulting in her taking first place at Dance Star - Dance World Masters in Croatia. Simone loves sharing her love for dance with her students, always striving to develop a greater passion within them and enhance their journey to success. She started her dance teaching career in 2019 and progressed into starting her own dance company - Duv Dance Company in 2022. Emily Gilbert
With a lifelong devotion to dance, an impressive track record, and a vibrant personality Emily is ready to share her expertise with the world. Emily has studied many dance styles over a number of years, which resulted to receiving various awards, some of them including securing top rankings in New Zealand for RBM Hip Hop Exams, claiming the title of DanceNZmade Regional Champion, and achieving National Runner-up status. She has also been in the teaching scene for over 4 years leading with a teachers certificate in Hip Hop. Emily is a dynamic force set to ignite inspiration and elevate the dance journeys of our students.
Ethan Scharneck
At just 21 years old, Ethan has been dancing since the age of 2, with Michael Jackson as his biggest inspiration. His dance journey began with his first performance at age 7 and has continued ever since. At 14, he represented New Zealand in the World Championships of Performing Arts, winning 3 Gold and 2 Silver medals. He furthered his skills by studying Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary dance at Excel School of Performing Arts, earning a Level 4 New Zealand Dance certificate and a Level 5 Dance Diploma.
For the past four years, he has been a member of Freshman's dance crew, performing in front of thousands of people at events like Christmas in the Park and sold-out theater shows. His passion is to share the love and joy of dance with as many people as possible.
